Winning essay proposes that all restaurants be required to compost
January 2011
Isabella (Izzy) Richter and 350 other 5th graders participated in PA Rep. Tim Briggs’ "There Ought to be a Law" essay contest. The topic was the environment. Izzy was selected as the winner. She went out into the real world and had a hands-on experience on how this can be done, visiting Philly Compost and The Night Kitchen Bakery.
